3-18-11 Exchange (Last Friday)

Dear Students,

I decided to give all of you an opportunity to post a response based upon our visit to our extended classmates at Fayetteville-Manlius High School.  There are several of my students who check the blog on a regular basis and I believe they'll be pleasantly surprised to see this post.  Feel free to post comments, reflections, and/ or questions  in regards to our visit last week.

I'd also like to say THANK YOU to all of the students from Fayetteville-Manlius High School.  The snacks were lovely and you were wonderful hosts and hostesses!  The planned activities were also greatly appreciated.  And THANK YOU to my Nottingham students for being such an energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated group!      ~ Mrs. Benedetto

  3. Hi, I'm Joonyong Rhee.
I really enjoyed working with Nottingham students when they came over to visit us at FM. It was interesting to see the perspectives of students that go to a different school environment than ours. I really enjoyed and was surprised by the many differences in our schools, such as our strict policy and the openness of people in Nottingham in comparison to FM. It was also very interesting to hear how the Nottingham students stereotyped us. I thought the gathering was entertaining and exciting. It was really nice to meet someone who goes to a different school environment.

  5. I had a great time when the nottingham students visited fm, although i was a little dissapointed that i could only be with my partner for the first part of the day i feel that we all got a better understanding of eachother and know eachother a little bit better now. Personally the class discussion at the end of the day was my favorite part because it was interesting to hear the many differences between fm and nottingham and everybodys different point of veiws. I am looking forward to visiting nottingham!

  6. Hi I'm Alexa and I had a really positive experience when the Nottingham students came to FM. My partner and I had a lot in common and I really enjoyed meeting him. I also thought it was interesting hearing the stereotypes that the Nottingham students had before they came to our school. I'm really looking forward to going to Nottingham this coming week!
